The project was a part of the Shawano School District Referendum, a key accomplishment for the schools and the Shawano community. The District partnered with Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. for the referendum projects at all four of the District’s campuses, including Shawano Community High School.
Funded by the approved $51.2 million referendum, the District advanced a series of renovations and system upgrades across multiple facilities. Work included enhancements to academic buildings such as roof replacements, repaired parking lots and utility work, updated heating and cooling systems, improved lighting throughout for energy efficiencies and lighting upgrades, and upgraded electrical panels. The District office moved from the High School location over to the new Olga Brener Space. The scope also extended to indoor and outdoor athletic, along with necessary concrete repairs throughout the campuses.
The project also accomplished enhanced accessibility and functionality of indoor learning spaces, targeted renovations, space reconfiguration, and soundproofing in high-traffic classroom areas at Olga Brener Intermediate School; and the completion of essential roof repairs at Shawano Community Middle School.
The ribbon cutting marked a significant milestone for the schools and the Shawano community, celebrating an investment in safe, modern, and welcoming learning environments for current and future students.
