(Appleton, Wis.) – Shawano community members gathered with students, their families, and
representatives from the Shawano School District and Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate improvements to Shawano Community High School, followed by an open house. The ceremony
featured remarks from both Superintendent Kurt Krizan and School Board President Christine McKinnies.
Updates include renovated collaboration spaces, added security to open areas, addition of more
room for high school programming, and more. The project is a part of the Shawano School District Referendum that was approved in November 2024.
