Ramping Up at the Appleton YMCA
Hoffman completes work on new parking ramp
(Appleton, Wis.) – Nearly a year after the demolition of the Soldiers Square parking ramp in downtown Appleton, the new YMCA parking ramp is open and welcoming vehicles. YMCA leaders were joined by members, community leaders, and representatives of Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. for the ribbon cutting and official “first-car thru” of the new parking facility at 120 S. Oneida St.
“This is truly an investment by the YMCA in the long-term future of their downtown Appleton location and a great benefit for their membership.”

“This is an important day for the YMCA of the Fox Cities and its members,” said Sam Statz, president at Hoffman. “This is truly an investment by the YMCA in the long-term future of their downtown Appleton location and a great benefit for their membership.”
Hoffman led the construction effort for the $7.5 million project which has four levels and 308 parking spots. “We’re very happy to get to this point to open this new parking facility for the YMCA,” continued Statz.
The new safe and secure ramp features better lighting, glass stairwells, security cameras, and a gated entrance and exit. There is also convenient elevator and stair access just steps from the YMCA entrance.
