(Appleton, Wis.) — Marion residents, students, and families gathered on Monday, Aug. 31 with representatives from the Marion School District and Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc. to officially cut the ribbon on additions and enhancements to Marion Elementary School and Marion High School. The ribbon cutting and open house event featured remarks from Mayor Chris Goke, School Board President John Schwartz, and Hoffman Director of Project Management Matt McGregor.
The $14.98 million referendum project approved by the community included infrastructure upgrades, a commons and kitchen addition, new STEM classrooms, interior remodeling, and more during a 12-month renovation. The updates aim to accommodate the middle school joining the elementary school building and provide quality updates for student learning.
