Following a strategic direction provided by the Coordinating Council, an element of the congregational governance, the IHM Leadership Council of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) began to explore transfer of ownership of the buildings and grounds (March 2020). Recognizing that the congregation did a significant amount of preparations for the future – sustainable renovation in 2000, licensing the Skilled Care, Memory Care, Assisted Living and Home for the Aged Certification – the Leadership felt that we were on a good path to secure a new owner for our campus. This also included the renovation of one wing to become apartments for lay men and women, moving towards a Continuing Care Retirement Community.
