Affinity Medical Group Celebrates New Clinic

NOVEMBER 6th, 2012

Affinity Medical Group celebrated the unofficial opening of their new two-story clinic in Neenah, Wisconsin, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, November 5th.

Hoffman provided construction services for the clinic project, which is pursuing LEED Gold certification.

Built on the site of a former paper mill, the facility’s construction included numerous sustainable features, with a special focus on improving water efficiency and energy use and using renewable or recycled materials and resources. Features included:

1. The installation of low-flow, water-saving plumbing fixtures.
2. The use of low VOC (volatile organic compounds) interior materials.
3. A high-quality lighting system that features high-efficiency fixtures and lamps, occupancy sensors, and photosensor controls.
4. A waste management plan that diverted at least 90% of construction and demolition debris from landfills.

Developed to replace Affinity’s current Neenah clinic while offering additional services as well, the new clinic was geared toward the patient experience. “The goal is to ensure that every patient in the clinic receives the care they need in an efficient manner," said Hoffman senior project manager Terry Ellenbecker. "The physical space and flow of the building is a large component of that.”

More than 100 employees, business leaders, project partners, and community members took part in celebrating the facility, which opens to the public the weekend of November 10 and 11th.
