Doors Open on Renovated Library in Three Lakes
Hoffman provided design services for the $2.2 million project

(Three Lakes, Wis.) – The new look of the Demmer Memorial Library and Three Lakes Historical Society was recently unveiled following completion of the $2.2 million project, in Three Lakes, Wis.

“In collaborating with library staff, the primary project goal was to create a design that would better serve library users, both community and staff members,” said Jody Andres, senior project architect for Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, which provided design services for the project. “The library now offers the Three Lakes community a more modern and open environment, which will help relieve overcrowding and make the facility handicap-accessible.”

The project took just more than a year to complete.

“We think the community is really going to enjoy the enhancements and additional activity spaces, such as the children’s reading nook,” Andres added. “Another key feature of the renovation is the new welcome center for both the library and the Three Lakes Historical Society.”

The project also included significant improvement to the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to improve efficiency and reduce maintenance in the building, which was originally constructed in 1971.

Greenfire Management Services, LLC of Milwaukee served as the construction manager for the project.
