The Outagamie County Housing Authority in Wisconsin partnered with Hoffman on a comprehensive master planning effort for a new Veterans Village in Appleton. The project originated as a planning effort for a single, 33-unit transitional housing facility, but quickly grew into a five-building continuum of care campus for Veterans. In addition to the 33-unit facility, the campus plan calls for a new 10-unit Veterans Honor Home that will provide palliative and hospice care for end-of-life veterans. Completing the five-building campus plan are three, 16-unit existing apartment buildings that will be renovated to serve as Veteran independent and family homes. Hoffman performed site fit studies and budget estimates, conducted space programming and developed conceptual designs, and assisted the County in researching and applying for various grants and funding options.Share This
