Hoffman to Discuss 21st Century Learning

JANUARY 9th, 2013

Hoffman educational facility design experts Catherine Cruickshank and Robert Koehler will be speaking at the 92nd Wisconsin State Education Convention at the Delta Center in Milwaukee. Presenting alongside nationally recognized educational consultant James Lewicki, Cruickshank and Koehler will be presenting the session “Project Based Learning Meets Small Neighborhood School” on Thursday, January 24th.

Their session will focus on the Madison-based Badger Rock Middle School, which is part of the Resilience Research Center—a facility designed to accommodate office, retail, research, corporate, recreation, and education needs.

Session attendees will learn how a purpose-designed, 21st century, project-based learning environment works in practice. They’ll also hear about the safety and security challenges of placing a school in a public facility and the creative solutions that were developed to meet those challenges.
