Andres Named to National Architectural Council

(Appleton, Wis.) – Jody Andres, K-12 market leader and a senior project architect for Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, has been selected to serve on the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Strategic Council. Andres will begin a three-year term serving as a regional representative for the North Central States (Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota), where AIA has more than 3,700 members.

The Strategic Council advances the architecture profession by informing the AIA Board of Directors about important professional issues and opportunities.

“It’s a great honor to have been selected to represent the North Central States on the AIA Strategic Council,” Andres said. “I’m looking forward to making the Council a more effective resource for the AIA Board. With the ever-changing trends in building architecture, it’s an exciting time to be a part of the design profession.”

Andres has been involved in the design and construction industry for more than 25 years, most notably in evaluating, planning, programming and designing PreK-12 educational facilities. He’s assisted more than 50 school districts throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. Andres is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) accredited professional and was the project architect for the Northland Pines High School project in Eagle River, Wis., the first LEED® certified public high school in the United States.
