(Appleton, WI) – GLK Foods, LLC—the global leader in kraut production—has moved into its new corporate office in Appleton. Construction of the 8,800 square foot building on North Lightning Drive has been completed by Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, which also designed the facility.

The $1.8 million building, which includes all the typical amenities, such as offices, conference rooms, restrooms, and kitchenette, also houses a walk-in cooler for product storage and testing as well as a distinctive facility feature. “A unique design element that was brought into the GLK building is the 1,200 square feet of reclaimed lumber taken from aged vats and repurposed into ceiling accents in the lobby and main conference room,” said Matt McGregor, Hoffman project manager.

A fourth generation, family-owned company, GLK Foods has been involved in making the finest quality kraut for more than 100 years, growing to become the largest kraut producer in the world. The maker of America’s top-selling brands, GLK continues to be the leader in food product innovation to give consumers choice, convenience and quality in all their products.

“We’re thrilled to be able to move into our new home in Appleton,” said GLK Foods owner Ryan Downs. “Our partnership with Hoffman and Pfefferle Management has enabled us to create a facility that will enhance our business and serve us well for years to come.”

Construction of the new GLK Foods headquarters began in September 2017.
