Hoffman Announces Staff Additions


APPLETON, Wis. – Hoffman Planning, Design & Construction, Inc., the Appleton-based Total Project Management firm, is proud to announce that Jesse Ray, Michael Babbitts, Annika Schuller-Rach, John Luzinski and Tom Ake have joined its staff.

Ray joins the Hoffman team as a senior job captain. from Performa, Inc. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture, Ray has more than 15 years experience in the design and construction industry and comes to Hoffman from Performa, Inc.

Babbitts comes to Hoffman from Miron Construction, where he served as a virtual construction specialist. A LEED Green Associate, Babbitts has a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

Schuller-Rach comes to Hoffman from Opus Design Build, LLC in Milwaukee with 10 years experience in the construction industry. A LEED AP BD+C, Schuller-Rach he earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and her Master’s in Engineering Management from Marquette University.

Luzinski brings more than 15 years experience in the construction industry to his new role at Hoffman. With He has an Associate Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from Chippewa Valley Technical College and a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Luzinski was previously a project engineer/estimator with Boldt.

Ake, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, has more than 30 years experience in the design and construction industry and is a licensed architect. He comes to Hoffman from Quantic Architects, LLC.

In their roles as job captains, Ray and Babbitts are responsible for all components of a project, from pre-planning through closeout, including day-to-day responsibilities to work closely with the project architect in producing design documents and coordinating with the civil, structural, mechanical electrical and plumbing disciplines.

As project managers, Schuller-Rach, Luzinski and Ake are responsible for overall project coordination, ranging from managing the construction process to ensuring complete customer satisfaction with budget, schedule and quality of the completed facility.
